A Client Success Story with a Global Professional Service Organisation

Situation

Countries and departments working in silos, using a heavily customised on-prem system.

Task

To transform the employee experience and enable an efficient talent capability consistent across the globe.

Actions

Proposed a review of the organisation’s people, processes, technology and culture and this culminated in the rollout of a HR transformation following our method:

  • Review talent strategy. AS IS processes, people, technology and culture. Change readiness assessment and priorities agreed. High level design & plan
  • Detailed Design Transformation roadmap. Re-defined talent strategy. Global target operating model (process, people, tools and behaviours). Training and Comms strategy. Supplier systems design.
  • Implementation SAP SF, SN and FG to approx. 300k employees across 150 countries. Influencing Leadership across the organisation to adopt the global design. Directed the activities of a global team of approx. 100 managers Executed the established Change and Implementation plan.
  • Continuous Improvement Implemented an evaluation and feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement. Transition to a BAU team Post go-live assessment of talent strategy and benefits plans

Results

  • Established change network to effectively manage communication and region activity for all 150 countries.
  • 5 successful module implementations across multiple regional Go-lives.

A Client Success Story with a Global Commercial Bank

Situation

The bank offered bank connectivity payment solutions for their commercial clients for years via different protocols (H2H, file upload, API etc.) and wanted to explore a more uniform, secure, and compliant way to achieve that taking advantage of cloud technology.

Task

DEC consultants were tasked with performing a discovery to identify the right technology and approach to harmonise commercial banking connectivity and offering secure and compliant value added services.

Actions

DEC consultants utilised a risk-based approach for the project and initiated a pilot in Denmark for its commercial clients selecting a few corporate clients to participate in it.

  • Initiate a discovery project to understand the current landscape (technological, regulatory and customer needs), capabilities and ambitions
  • Captured issues and priorities raised by the leadership team.
  • Initiated a pilot project to introduce a private cloud solution for payment validations including black/whitelisting utilising a private cloud solution
  • Employing a risk based approach and incremental implementation starting with the pilot then covering Denmark and the Nordics’ corporate clients.
  • Strengthen compliance, network security as well as reduction in rejected transactions.
  • Compliance tightened especially with respect to black list/embargo beneficiaries.
  • Incremental approach catered for continuous learning and improvements by the bank.
  • Ability to offer value add services to the bank’s corporate clients with better support capabilities.
  • Solution which is built in view to allow the bank to further explore cloud offerings including transition to public cloud solutions.

Results

  • Successfully migrated all corporate clients in the Nordics to a new private cloud solution with secure connectivity and a harmonised payment solution. Planned entire EMEA rollout of the solution.
  • Reached enhanced security, limited the number of solutions provided for the same service as well as reduction in risk, operational cost saving by reduction of TCO, cost reduction for the corporate clients both in terms of operational costs and transaction fees due to the reduction of failed and rejected payments.
